Special Education
I graduated from Tishomingo High School in 2001 and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in May of 2020.
This is my first year teaching Special Education. I am teaching reading and math at the elementary school in the mornings, and reading and english at the high school in the afternoons. I am so excited to watch my students learn and grow!
I was a Paraprofessional at Tishomingo High School for the past two years. I have also owned my own business ( a flower shop), worked as the Marketing Director for my family’s nursing home company, and worked as a Headstart Teacher for Crossroads Youth and Family Services in Norman, OK.
I have been married to my best friend, Scott, for the past twelve years. Together, we have three children; Ryan, who is 23 and experiencing life as an adult, Presley, who is 11 and in 6th grade, and Landri, who is 8 and in the 3rd grade. I love my family and always enjoy spending time with them. On weekends, we love to cook in our outdoor kitchen, wathc movies, and have family dinners. In my spare time, I love to curl up with a good book, as I have always been a fan of reading. I love how a book can instantly transport you to a new location and life, simply by using your imagination and reading the words on the page!
