Education

Educational History:

I am a proud Tishomingo High School graduate, Class of 2003. I attended and graduated Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors Degree in Science Education in 2007.

Degrees and Certifications:

I am currently certified in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Chemistry for the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

Current Position:

I began teaching with THS in August 2010.  I happily teach any science course the students need from year to year.  For 2023-2024 I know I will have Biology I, Biology II, and Anatomy & Physiology. I am also the THS Academic Team Coach. 

Previous Position:

I began teaching in August 2007.  I have taught at three different school districts during my time with the majority of time gained here at Tishomingo Public Schools. I have taught a wide array of science courses including: Life Science, Earth Science, Biology I & II, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Zoology, Forensic Science, and Integrated Physics and Chemistry. I have also spent eleven years as the Academic Team Coach. 

In addition to education I have gained experience working in the food service industry, retail, and property management. I find that each of these other areas has provided me with knowledge and patience that allows me to be a more diverse teacher.
