Homework policy :
Homework is due at the beginning of class, AFTER the students have had sufficient time to ask questions over the previous night’s work. If it is not turned in at the beginning of the hour, it is considered a zero. Late papers are 10 points off per day. All homework should consist of your first and last name and lesson # all written at the top right corner of your paper. Homework is graded on completion. The grade will be based on the total amount of problems finished (with all work/steps shown) out of the total number of problems assigned. Any Homework, Tests, or Quizzes need to be done in pencil. Student will grade with a red pen.
*ALL homework assignments are allowed to be corrected and re-graded.
*ALL tests may be given TWICE only! I will average the two scores.
Make-up work policy: All students are allowed to make-up work. However many days the student is absent will be the number of days they have to make up any missed assignments. Please let me know if there is a planned absence so that I can give assignments beforehand or you may check Wengage. Make-up tests or quizzes may differ from the original.
Quiz Policy: Quizzes may be given 1 to 5 times per week.
Cheating Policy: No cheating is allowed. Cheating, talking, or whatever the student is doing during a test or quiz that leads the teacher to believe they are cheating will result in a zero for that particular test or quiz.
Consequences (in no particular order)
All students in Algebra 1 are allowed to have a TI-84 calculator during the class period and for the ACT. The calculator will assist the student greatly in his/her ability to quickly and confidently complete the lessons, quizzes, and tests.
I look forward to having a successful year.
P.S. If you will download the REMIND APP I will be able to notify you much quicker.
