Dear Family,

The class did a good job on last week’s fluency homework! Mrs. Huls and I are very proud of them! J In the top right hand corner of their homework paper is the number of sounds that they knew and whole words that they read. Continue working on blending those sounds together into words.

Our class will be hosting December’s Celebration Assembly on December 13th with Mrs. Cellum’s first grade class! Your child will need a Santa hat,

elf hat, or reindeer antlers for that day. You can find those items at the Dollar Store now. Please make every effort to make sure your child has one of these to wear that morning. Thank you for your help!

Kindergarten Christmas Party: I know this is early and we haven’t even celebrated Thanksgiving yet, but I wanted to give you an early heads up on what we do in kindergarten for Christmas. We have a “Stocking Party”! Stockings will be provided for the class. We ask that parents volunteer to send in stocking stuffers. Some examples of stocking stuffers are Christmas novelties, pencils, erasers, rulers, play dough, small cars and trucks, jewelry, party favors, candy etc. We have 21 students in our class family at this time; 10 boys and 11 girls. With your help, each child will take home a stocking “stuffed” full of goodies! Thank you so much for your help with this! You are a great group of parents to work with.

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Mrs. McCollom
