I attended Murray State College where I received my Associates Degree. I next attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University where I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education and Masters in Education Administration.
I have attended DIBELS trainings in the past. This summer I attended Great Expectations Training and am excited about incorporating it in my classroom. I also attend Vision 20/20 every summer to gain new ideas and methods to make learning fun and effective.
This is my second year to teach at Tishomingo Elementary School, but have taught 2nd grade for 10 years at Mannsville School and one year of Special Education at Coleman School.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Nelson for 29 years. I have three grown sons- Shane, Peyton, and Justin, one daughter-in-law, Chandi and one awesome grandson, Landry. All three of my sons attended and graduated from Tishomingo High School.
When I am not teaching I like to read, camp, take pictures, run, scrapbook and hang out with my family and friends.
