About Julie Bristow

iHola y bienvenido a mi página! Hello and welcome to my webpage.  My name is Julieta Mariscal-Bristow.  I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico and a Master of Education in Counseling from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. I've been teaching 20 years and this is my 11th year teaching Spanish here at the high school and middle school. I'm excited about the 2015-2016 school year.

I was born and raised in Arizona, so I love the heat (but not the humidity). My husband, Brent, and I have been married 29 wonderful years. He is a Fisheries Biologist and is dedicated to preserving native and endangered species.  This november will be our 23rd year living in Johnston county.  We have two awesome children, Josh and Allyson.  We love to spend time with family and friends.  BOOMER! SOONER!

There are many things I truly enjoy, so it's hard to list them.  All I can say is life is great and the good Lord has blessed me in many ways.  One in particular is my students.  They continually inspire me with their stories and adventures.  It's wonderful to know that I teach young people who are loving and open-minded about the world around them.  I feel privileged to share my culture and native language with them.
