My full name is Dawna Sandmann, I am 29 years old. I have been married to my husband Matthew Sandmann for a little over four years now. We a 1 year old daughter, who we are absolutely head over heels in love with. We live in Milburn, OK. My husband teaches high school history at Stringtown. I love doing arts and crafts with my students and finding new ways for them to learn. I want my students to have a loving, caring, safe and fun environment in my classroom. I strive to make sure every child knows that they are special and that they can do great things in life if they set their mind to it and work hard to achieve their goals. I believe each child has a destiny to be great and I am here to help set the ground work for their success in life.
I taught Kindergarten for about 3 ½ years here at Tishomingo until I decided to change it up a bit and go into Special Education. I graduated from SOSU in Durant in December of 2012 and stepped into a classroom a few weeks later. It was an amazing learning experience and I will never forget the things I learned that year or my first group of students. As I mentioned I graduated from SOSU, I have a Bachelors in Education and am certified in both Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my Masters through ECU. Teaching has always been my dream career since I was a little girl. I cannot wait to begin this school year with an already amazing group of students and to watch them grow.
